The coronavirus pandemic has instigated several major changes in our industry. When the Government enforced lockdown, this immediately halted all physical viewings. Although the lockdown has eased and physical viewings are able to commence again, there are still many factors which mean not everyone is able to visit a property in person.
As a business we had to act immediately and look at what technology was available to us to ensure viewings are able to continue where possible. We started with video tours which worked well for the short term, however, these tours can be long and do not offer the flexibility for viewers to choose the way they tour around a home. We then decided to research 3D virtual tour technology which gives the viewer an unlimited amount of time to view the property from the comfort and safety of their own home. For viewers with the relevant equipment the properties can even be viewed in virtual reality.
We are pleased to say this new technology has been a great addition to our service and is now offered to every home listed for sale with Naylor Powell. The popularity of this new software has already resulted in some very positive offers for our vendors.
