Newent Cricket Club is a thriving grass roots club set in a stunning location, mid-way between Gloucester and the Forest of Dean.
This friendly club welcomes hundreds of payers each season to play on their beautiful pitch. They run three senior Saturday teams, a friendly Sunday team, as well as Under 11, 13 and Under 15 teams in the Leadon Vale Youth League, and a Women’s ‘Soft Ball’ team for those over the age of 14 which our Accounts Manager, Liz is a member of. Youth players also play for the Leadon Young Cricketers in the Gloucestershire Youth Cricket League, organised by the GCB.
This active club has a wonderful social scene too which welcomes new members of all ages. A sunny day of cricket followed by a drink in the comfortable lounge bar is why the club attracts so many lifelong members.
As a local business in Newent, we are delighted to support the club. For the 2022/23 season we have taken sponsorship of the stumps which look fantastic. Adam visited the club to share the start of the season with other sponsors and enjoy the clubs first match against Redmarley Cricket Club.
